By now, even us dogs have heard about the dress that set the Internet on fire. And we really only have one thing to say. What color???

If you haven’t heard the story, it all began when someone posted a photo of a dress on their Tumblr page and asked the following question: “guys please help me – is this dress white and gold, or blue and black?”

For those who haven’t yet seen it, here’s the dress that broke the internet:

Apparently, the entire online universe could not reach a consensus on what colors are shown in the above picture. Twitter erupted with a furious debate about whether the dress was black and blue or white and gold. It got so large that BuzzFeed decided to poll its readers about it, and found that 76% saw white and gold, while the remainder saw blue and black. Of course, memes soon followed, along with a hashtag (#dressgate)…and then things got silly, because even scientists chipped in their two cents.

And then Deadspin decided to identify the colors using the Photoshop eyedropper tool, and stated unequivocally that it was blue and brown. And still other people saw both variations: black and blue and gold and white.

Well, we’re here to end the debate once and for all. All of you who see the dress as white and gold are wrong. There, we said it. But wait, we’re not done. All of you who think the dress is blue and black are wrong too. You know why? Because this:

We don’t see colors. And that’s fine with us. All we really want to know is, can we eat it or can we play with it? If we can’t do either of those things, we don’t really care what color it is.

But you humans do, so we are kinda curious to know… What color do you see?? Let us know about it in the comments!
