It has repeatedly demonstrated that love is a universal language. You must watch the video “The Story of Cheetah Cub Ruuxa & Puppy Pal Raina” because the more unlikely the pair, the cuter the relationship is!

Meet the dog Raina and the cheetah Ruuxa from the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. These two furry creatures are a perfect example of what it means to be “best friends forever,” their touching tale will make you smile.

A female cheetah will give birth to a litter of three to five cubs, although she may give birth to as many as nine. Ruuxa was the sole cub in his litter at the San Diego Zoo. Because their instincts tell them that the lone youngster won’t survive in the wild, mother cheetahs frequently abandon solitary offspring.

So, when Ruuxa’s mother left him, the zoo’s employees intervened. Since the young cheetah lacked siblings, the zoo keepers decided to pair him up with an 8-week-old Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy named Raina.

The zoo intends for Raina and Ruuxa to live together forever.
If the zoo ever needs to transport Ruuxa to another environment or when he encounters an unexpected circumstance, Raina’s body language will aid in keeping Ruuxa calm.

The zookeepers quickly became aware that Ruuxa’s front legs were not growing normally. He suffered chondrodysplasia, a birth defect characterized by irregular growth. Ruuxa’s legs were developing in the shape of a bow rather than growing straight.

Keepers were concerned that Ruuxa wouldn’t be able to move quickly because of this. On September 3, 2014, corrective surgery was carried out by the zoo’s vets.

Raina would never abandon her friend. Raina was present as Ruuxa was recovering. She was gentle with him and didn’t touch the bandages.

Ruuxa had entirely recovered thanks to Raina! At the age of one and a half, Ruuxa currently participates in the Shiley’s Cheetah Run! Ruuxa and Raina resemble one other more than they do pals.

It is lovely to see how they are connected by a unique bond. Check them out below!
