A group of nature enthusiasts from Sao Paulo, Brazil, set out on a cycling trail with their dogs along a marshy terrain. They were thoroughly enjoying the trip, but they had to make a stop beside a river when they got thirsty. Just as they were drinking water from the river, a giant anaconda jumped out of the river and attacked one of their dogs.

The other dogs began squealing in fear as the 13-foot-long anaconda completely clutched the dog from all sides and pulled him into the water. The cyclists knew it would be an extremely risky affair if they try to save the dog. But the dog’s Dad was overcome with a protectiveness for his pooch and instinctively jumped into the water to save his dog.

He said – “When I heard their screams, I ran to see what was happening. When I saw him, he was wrapped completely and sank into the water. Immediately, I jumped into the water, and with the grace of God, I managed to find them underwater, and pulled them out of the water.”

The cyclists then banded together and decided to fight the anaconda with their bare hands! In this chilling video, we see the cyclists using their combined force to get the anaconda to loosen his grip on the dog. Even though the anaconda refuses to move, the cyclists make sure the wrung-up dog’s neck isn’t squished by the brawny snake. Meanwhile, the other dogs huddle up around the men and anxiously bark for their buddy’s life.

Watch this video till the end to see how the persevering cyclists saved their dog just before nightfall. Apart from a non-poisonous bite, the dog was alright. These gritty cyclists are the definition of valor and we truly respect these men for rescuing their dog without harming the snake. Kudos to their bravery!
