Six days after arriving in the UK from their war-torn nation, a Ukrainian family was devastated when ruthless criminals took their dog. To flee the Russian invasion, Lina and Oleksiy Litvinova, both 40, traveled more than 2,000 miles in three days through ten nations.

They took their Yorkshire terrier, Ellie, who they’ve had since she was a puppy, as well as Lina’s mother Larysa, 66, and their two children, Ivan, 17, and Kira, who is nine months old. In order to wait for a permanent dwelling, the family moved into a temporary residence last Monday in Streatham, south-west London.

However, their eight-year-old dog was stolen on Sunday, and authorities are now looking for the ruthless thieves.

Ellie had managed to escape the house, but according to Lina, two individuals in a red BMW stopped and identified themselves as the home’s owners to onlookers.

The dog was then taken away, according to her, and they left in broad daylight with her.

We are devastated, said 40-year-old Lina. My mother and I are inconsolable sobs.

“Back in Kharkiv, where we originally hail from, this kind of thing simply doesn’t seem to occur, but as soon as we get here, Ellie is kidnapped.

“I have no idea why she was taken, and I don’t really want those responsible for it to be punished. All we want is Ellie to be back.

The BMW stopped in the middle of the street outside the home of the five-person family, as seen on Ring doorbell video.

Then Ellie may be seen escaping.

The family’s worries about the dog’s safety are increased by the fact that she is on a special pancreas diet.

In response to complaints of a dog theft from Ellison Road in SW16, police were informed at around 1.40 p.m. on Sunday, August 7, according to a Met Police spokesperson.

According to reports, the dog was taken from outside an address at about 10.30 a.m. There were no arrests, but investigations into the events are ongoing.
