One brand-new animal sanctuary in Bentonville, Arkansas, wants to spur adoption of animals in the future. Though its actual stars—of course—are the animals—Best Friends Pet Resource Center offers a happy, welcoming environment for animal lovers and pet owners of all ages.

Dogs and cats do not reside in kennels at this shelter. They stay in the center’s rooms during the day so they can meet possible adopters. But at night, they get to return to their adoring foster homes.

Just wait until you hear about all the services and amenities they provide for individuals if you think their adoption program is remarkable! The enormous indoor slide (for humans) is undoubtedly a popular favorite, but the community as a whole benefits greatly from the lounging areas and DIY dog wash stations as well. Anyone can meet adoptable cats at the coffee shop, which also functions as a cat cafe.

The shelter’s senior consultant of strategy and integration, Susan Cosby, expressed her desire for a long-lasting effect to Fox News.

Cosby herself has worked with many animals living in kennels, and she knows from that they’re not the way to go. “Here here in Northwest Arkansas, we’re actually developing the future of animal sheltering that we hope is going to be a model for our nation,” she said.

She continued, “That is not a healthy atmosphere for kids to stay joyful. They develop behavior problems over time.” Nevertheless, that’s no longer an issue at Best Friends’ Northwest Arkansas site.

Incredibly, Best Buddies wants to make the entire nation “no-kill” by 2025. This goal has been greatly advanced by the shelter’s new cage-free, neighborhood-focused facility, especially since the shelter also wants to assist pet owners. Best Buddies Pet Resource Center, according to their website, “provides support for families to maintain pets in homes” by providing resources including a free pet food and supply pantry.

Stopping by Arkansas’ newest animal shelter is always a good idea, whether you’re wanting to get aid, provide help, or even provide an animal with a home.
