Eight years ago, when Malaika Jaovisidha, his human sister, left for college, Peanut was still a young puppy. Every day seemed to drag on and on since he had no idea when he would see her again.

A few months later, during her break, Jaovisidha came home, and Peanut couldn’t stop kissing his sister because he was so happy to see her.

While in school, Jaovisidha made frequent visits to the home she shared with her family in Thailand. And Peanut would start licking his face furiously as soon as he caught sight of her.

Whether I’ve been away for a week or months, each reunion is as exciting as the previous, Jaovisidha told The Dodo. However, I hardly ever take trips that last longer than four to six months.

Until 2020, when stringent travel limitations were implemented worldwide. Before she could eventually take a flight back home, Jaovisidha was stranded in Australia for more than two years.

Jaovisidha admitted, “I was actually worried that [Peanut] had forgotten about me. “I had no idea what to expect because I had never been away for so long.”

When the time arrived, Jaovisidha quickly recognized Peanut and her family at the arrivals gate. She was also noticed by the senior Chihuahua, but she could tell by his expression that he didn’t know her.

Jaovisidha remarked, “All he did was look at me and wag his tail. “This is how he typically welcomes guests that stop over to pet him.”

However, when Jaovisidha spoke, Peanut quickly recognized her voice. Jaovisidha claimed, “I called his name and he went totally wild. He broke down in tears and jumped all over me to offer me kisses. ”

Like every time she would return from school, Peanut was ecstatic to see one of his favorite people again. Now that they have more time together, Peanut and Jaovisidha are spending it on all of their favorite activities like walks and cuddling. Jaovisidha stated, “I missed cuddling with him. It is the most adorable thing.
