Even after four years, I occasionally find it difficult to comprehend Tofu’s demands. She was saved at the age of four months from a kill shelter in Romania and came to be with us. We jokingly refer to her as our cat because of how different she is from my other dog and pretty much every other dog I’ve ever met.
Mostly because she adores sleeping, and her preferred location is my bed. With the exception of when it snows, she detests walks and leaves the house. She will roll in the snow while cuddling, consuming, and adoring it.
Flowers are one of her other loves. We took her to her first flower field when she was about 8 months old. She would gingerly hop hop between those flowers and take a seat in the middle, abandoning her usual worries.
She would spend minutes or up to 30 minutes lying there, far from us, while we were busy with our tasks. We have to depart at a particular point; until I come and grab her.
Since I started shooting her joyous interactions with her “mates” three years ago, we have taken her to every field we come across. nose in the air, eyes closed, taking it all in.
Sister is giving her a concern
Flower trance
I will carry her majestic floof up to every blossoming tree
Taking a nap in the hyacinths
Flower ghoul in the back
Looking at the fields we couldn’t reach
We found a poppy field
The first crocuses after a long winter
A field of wildflowers in France
Every sunflower field, blossoming or not
