A puppy and an adult dog were discovered stumbling around outside by themselves in the cold by Mac’s Mission, a rescue organization in Jackson, Missouri.

This puppy, however, is not your typical canine; he has what seems to be a “tail” emerging from his forehead. Rescuers have never seen anything like the tail, even if it does not wag normally.

Since it reminds them of a unicorn’s horn, they decided to name him Narwhal, “the little magical furry unicorn.”

Narwhal has a foot injury of some sort and will require treatment. The rescue is taking him to the vet tomorrow for x-rays, as well as to get his face and tail looked at.

According to the rescue, Narwhal is pleased, friendly puppy doing great. Thanks to rescuers, Narwhal won’t have to suffer in the freezing cold.

Mac’s Mission is a rescue organization in Jackson, Missouri that assists stray dogs and other animals with critical medical issues or wounds that would otherwise be put to death.

Despite their focus on Pit Bulls, they accept all breeds. They serve animals of all breeds with special requirements as well as those who are abandoned and have no hope of surviving because shelters and other rescue organizations lack the funding to care for them.
