Every dog owner is aware that their puppies are their children. We frequently treat them with the same love and compassion that we would show to a human child, and our dogs adore every second of it. One dog even requests that she be held in a manner similar to that of a newborn in order to show her mother how much she loves her.
A video of Ruby, a user’s Pit Bull, being held by her mother was recently published by @thebullybunchsd on TikTok. The way Ruby is held by her mother in the video, with her head resting on her shoulder, is typical of how parents hold small children. It’s literally her happy place. Much later we found out that she was in fact held and cradled by a loving elderly women at her previous home and it made so much sense to us. This is just so adorable, aww! The video’s caption adds that soon after the puppies were adopted, Ruby’s mother saw she wanted to be carried up, so she did. Ruby then decided this was her happy spot. They learned much later that Ruby’s previous owner had treated her in a very similar way. How fantastic!
The way this mother recognized what her dog needed was praised in the comments. Dogs are too good for humans. What a nice mamma for detecting what she needed and providing it to her!
