It’s been said that apathy is the opposite of love—not hatred. Indifference is more than simply a lack of emotion to a cat by the name of Colin Feral; it’s part of his job description.

One of the most frequently asked queries by prospective adopters at Wellington, New Zealand’s Moa Point Dog Shelter is if the dogs there are at ease near cats. The shelter workers understood that they would need a relaxed cat who wouldn’t mind meeting dozens of dogs to be able to answer this question.

Here comes Colin Feral, a kitten rescued from a colony of feral cats, who quickly distinguished himself as the ideal applicant for the position.

Although most cats avoid dogs, Colin is a pro at maintaining his composure. He has a good sense of moral character, according to Steph Simon, a shelter employee, who spoke to The Dodo. If we bring a dog inside and the dog reacts negatively toward him a little bit, he will seek out higher ground, such as a window sill.

Colin enjoys his work and frequently has the opportunity to meet new people. A young dachshund was once shown to Colin. Colin was delighted to find a puppy his size, and they soon began to play.

On the ground, Simon said, “they would have miniature wrestling matches.” The dog eventually left the shelter, and Colin was sad to see him go, but the cat just saw it as part of a typical day’s work.

One of the shelter’s most well-liked employees, Colin is always taking on new responsibilities. Simon said that Colin is excellent as a paperweight, a security guard, and an emotional support animal. It seems like Colin expands his skill set daily.

Colin enjoys working from home as many of us do since he gets to spend every day with his dog companions and receives lots of attention from the employees at the animal shelter. It’s obvious that he has achieved the ideal work-life balance.

And what was his name? You must have guessed by now, though. Simon uttered, “Colin Feral” Obviously following Colin Farrell.
