People who own pets or have owned them can appreciate the joy they can bring to their life. However, not everyone enjoys animal company, and occasionally guardians leave them behind. But that is not why we are here—to spread gloom. Instead of that! Today, we would like to tell you the tale of a dog that, after being abandoned, discovered a new home and a devoted family.
Lais Chesine Monfrinato, a Brazilian citizen from Mairinque, posted a picture of a puppy asking for a new home on Facebook on December 19. Lais was shocked to discover an abandoned puppy left with only a blanket, some food, and the note “I am sorry, please take care of her.” at her door.
She posted a need for assistance on social media because she did not have much room in her home because she already had three adopted cats. Fortunately, Rosane Carraco, one of her friends, was moved by the story and agreed to adopt the puppy. Lais decided to give the pet to her friend Rosane without a second thought because she was aware of her prowess with animals.
The animal was given a new name, Lua, and was delivered to the new family on December 26 as a Christmas present. Rosane admitted in one of the interviews that she initially felt worried. Her dog, Mel, was two years old, and she was not sure if the two dogs could coexist. But as soon as the two creatures interacted, her worries vanished. They hit it off right away and were close.
Lais shared on the 19th of December on Facebook, “How a human being, if you can call a person that, can do this? You abandoned an animal and just walked away. They left this sweet girl at my home this morning.”
Lais stated in one of her interviews that her boss, Rosane, noticed her Facebook post and immediately called Lais on WhatsApp to express she wanted to be with the puppy. “I didn’t think twice, because I know the affection and love that she and her family give to animals.”
Before going to Rosane’s residence, Lua spent a week at Lais’ house. Rosane set up her home for the dog’s arrival.
Rosane said that although the dog is becoming accustomed to the name, Lua still doe not recognize it when she calls. Lua and Mel got along great. Lua acknowledges that Mel is in charge of this situation. “The two are happy.”
