Can I Bring My Dog to Kimpton?
Everything You Need to Know Before You Bring Fido
With 68 boutique hotels in 37 cities, Kimpton offers a near-unbeatable mix of trendy style, upscale comfort and pet friendliness. From nightly hosted wine hours to yoga mats in every room, Kimpton promises a hotel stay like no other… and that goes for four-legged guests, too. In 1992, Kimpton became the first hotel company to introduce a brand-wide pet-friendly policy. To this day, guests are welcome to bring their “furry, feathery or scaly” family members with them whenever they check in at a Kimpton hotel. No matter their size, weight or breed, all pets are accepted and greeted with an enviable list of amenities.

Ready to Make Kimpton Your Home Away From Home?
Kimpton has long been a premier choice for guests who travel with their best friends… whether they be dogs, cats or any other pet that can fit through the door. These trendy boutique hotels are located in major metropolitan areas and popular holiday destinations, making them ideal for pet-friendly business or leisure trips. With its brand promise of “a different way to stay,” Kimpton offers a host of perks and amenities for every guest. It has also been a trailblazer in setting a brand-wide standard for pet friendliness.
More than a pet policy, Kimpton prides itself on a pet philosophy. Every property across the chain accepts pets of any size for no extra charge and without requiring a pet deposit. Your pet is welcome by name at check-in and is pampered with a selection of amenities and extras that include pet beds for use during your stay, food and water bowls, mats and waste bags. Pet parents also receive door hangers to let staff know their pet is in the room and a concierge list of nearby pet-friendly restaurants, parks, groomers and boutiques. Pets are even welcome at the nightly wine reception at select hotels.

Kimpton’s Pet Policy
Pets of any size, weight and breed are accepted for no extra fee at every Kimpton hotel, and no pet deposit is required at any property. The hotel’s pet policy states that “if your pet fits through the door, we’ll welcome them in.” Each Kimpton hotel also offers a selection of amenities for furry friends including plush pet bed loaners, food and water bowls, waste bags, and door hangers to alert hotel guests and staff that a pet is in the room.
Above and Beyond
Kimpton has been a pet-friendly brand since it was launched in 1981. Founder Bill Kimpton used to bring his dog Chianti to work, and since then the hotel chain has embraced its furry employees. Today, guests will be enthusiastically greeted by a four-legged Director of Pet Relations at the following hotels:

Rocco the Australian Labradoodle joined the Kimpton Onyx team in 2017. This “wicked smaht” pooch is a natural for the job who happily greets every two- and four-legged guest he meets. He’s also more than willing to recommend items from the Onyx’s Pampered Pooches in-room dining menu.

When Addison (her friends call her Addie) is not “on duty” at her favorite spot by the fireplace, you can find her at the front desk. A Portland native, she’s got the inside scoop on all the nearby pet-friendly hotspots.

Wiley is a spirited fellow who often hangs out at the reception desk, the nightly wine hours, or on the soft rugs in the lobby. Naturally, he’s a favorite of guests and staff alike.
