The American Staffordshire Terrier, a.k.a the pit bull, gets a bad rap for the actions of a few. These guys, more often then not, are the perfect companions.
Pit bulls are loyal, loving and generally big babies.
We have to admit, they’re bad at a few things, however. For one, they make terrible sock models. Yep, you read right. For another, balloons seems to be their kryptonite. And they do tend to talk in their sleep, which might creep you out.
But there’s a lot more to like than hate about these great dogs.
For starters, they love to share. From ice cream to doggy treats, they’re always willing to go halfsies.
They aren’t complainers. These guys will be cool anywhere, even if it’s sitting on top of a buddy or even being the actual chair.
Pit bulls can have fun with everything, from a pail to their own tail.
This breed is all about saving the planet; they’ll turn off the lights before leaving the room.
You couldn’t find a better friend then a pit bull.
And honestly, is there anything cuter than one of these puppies?
In all seriousness, pitbulls make great pets. They have all the energy in the world and are pretty tolerant, but just like many other breeds, they should be supervised when they’re with kids.
With all these amazing qualities, the real question is, why wouldn’t you want a pit bull in your life? We know they have a reputation for violence and aggression, but in most cases that’s due more to the actions and behaviors of their owners than it is a reflection of a pit bull’s nature. Treat them with affection and kindness, and you’ll have a loyal, lovable buddy for life.
