  1. The breed was developed by Captain John Edwardes in Pembrokeshire on the river Seal in Wales in the late 19th century.
  2. They were originally bred to hunt otters, foxes, badgers and other small animals.
  3. They are known for their clownish personalities – they love to play games with their owners!
  4. They are surprisingly calm indoors – making them great apartment dogs!
  5. Their coats require regular grooming – brushing once or twice a week will keep them looking their best!
  6. They can be prone to barking if left alone too often – so make sure you give them plenty of attention!
