A dog which is a 9-month-old boxer from a Muncie boarding facility has been found and
reunited with her owners after a week that went missing.

A young puppy of Melissa Davis and Patrick Carroll’s named Harley was dropped off on
Wednesday around 2:40 p.m. at Wagglebottoms in Muncie before they leave for a trip. The next day, the business owner called Ms. Davis to tell her that her dog Harley was nowhere to be found.

After they discovered that Harley was missing, all the community members, her family, even
police officers, and Wagglebottoms workers have been doing their very best to find Harley.
Finally, she was found on Saturday morning.

Wagglebottoms’ Facebook page posted that after a 42-hour community search, Harley was
finally found and has been reunited with her owners. Harley had undergone a vet appointment on Sunday at 12:30 pm at her regular clinic for a wellness check-up and her owners awaited the results.

“We are so relieved that this story has a happy ending,” a comment posted at Wagglebottoms.

“Thank you first and foremost to Harley’s owner Melissa Davis, who kept in contact with me
throughout the process and made sure we had all the information we needed. Thank you to Jami Brown with Muncie Police, Muncie Animal Care, and Services, and Kherri Clements with On The Run Lost Dog Recovery, who each lent their time, resources, and expertise to the search.”

According to the post, Wagglebottoms staff has recognized the reason why, Harley
escaped.

“We believe we figured out where the problem was, and it has been addressed,” posted by the staff. “Harley was let out for the night, was let back inside, and I know this because her bedding was in there, and the kennel door was shut. Every night, we place bedding down as soon as the dogs are let in for the night. She jumped out of the top, and got out while we were letting our MACS fosters out.”

The night when Harley escaped was the time when the business was in the process of training new employees, added by the post thus it was the time when no one watches her and she was able to escape but all of a sudden the issue was addressed, the post ended.
