It can be challenging to accept how merciless nature can be.

Consider the case of some animal species that leave their young to the elements. Nobody said we had to accept it and leave it alone, but.

The lesson Erin and Bea teach us is this. Before she even hatched, Bea’s clutch abandoned her. Bea was uncomfortable with the entire affair. But by some fortunate turn of events, Erin discovered her just as Bea was hatching. She tried to summon the mother duck to the hatching nest but was unsuccessful.

Erin decided to resolve the situation on her own as a result.

“…there were many unhatched eggs, so on my way back through, I stopped at the nest, just to confirm they were all duds. Well! It’s a good thing I did because this little bugger was actively hatching!!! It hatched a full day after the rest of the clutch. tried for hours to get mama to go back to her nest. …At sundown, baby was still resting and mama wanted nothing to do with it. I knew it wouldn’t survive the night and my conscious just wouldn’t let me ignore it,” said Erin in an interview for another website.

“Every day I have been working to have her spend time with two other ducks. their names are Blanche and Dorothy. they live in my backyard. When she sees them she runs to greet them, so my hope is that the more acclimated she gets around them the easier it will be to transition her from inside outside.”

It doesn’t take much time for a duck to grow, and she’s getting noticeably bigger.

And the great news is that Bea and Erin are only beginning their long and beautiful relationship together.
