Beethoven is a beloved family movie about a St. Bernard dog of the same name. The film follows the story of the Newton family who adopt Beethoven, a lovable and mischievous pup, and the adventures they have together.

The movie begins with George Newton (Charles Grodin) and his wife, Alice (Bonnie Hunt), deciding to get a pet for their children, Ryce (Nicholle Tom) and Ted (Christopher Castile). After much deliberation, they decide on a St. Bernard puppy from a local pet store. They name him Beethoven after the famous composer Ludwig van Beethoven.

At first, Beethoven is just like any other puppy – full of energy and curiosity. But soon enough he starts to grow into an enormous dog that causes chaos in the household. He chews up furniture, digs holes in the yard, and generally wreaks havoc wherever he goes. Despite all this trouble, however, Beethoven quickly becomes an integral part of the family and everyone loves him dearly.

But not everyone is so fond of Beethoven; namely Dr Varnick (Dean Jones), a veterinarian with nefarious intentions for our furry friend. After seeing how much money can be made from selling purebred puppies like Beethoven, he hatches a plan to kidnap him and sell him off for profit. It’s up to George Newton and his family to save their beloved pet before it’s too late!

Beethoven is an entertaining movie that will have you laughing out loud at its silly antics while also tugging at your heartstrings with its heartfelt moments between man’s best friend and his human companions. It’s sure to be enjoyed by viewers of all ages!
