The wedding of Callie and Travis was photographed by Sarah Pukin, a skilled wedding photographer based in Calgary, Canada. The people (and animals) they cherish most were present at the couple’s wedding on July 9. “Oh, man! Callie and Travis’ wedding was unreal. It was such an amazing day! ”Sarah told Bored Panda. “It was a busy morning with a lot of moving parts. Their venue was absolutely fitting for them – it was chill and laid back and natural.”

The day flowed with an air of leisure, as there was no fixed plan in place, letting everyone interact, relax, and celebrate! Their venue was a wedding photographer’s dream, with “so many unique spots to create and capture artistic angles with.”

Following the end of the amazing day, Sarah started editing and retouching. She soon came across a photo that made her laugh for an odd reason. The eight-year-old dog owned by the couple, Luna, was grinning from ear to ear with no teeth visible. She stated, “I cracked up while I was going through and selecting their final images. Her smile was perfect and she did a really good job posing for the photo! ”

When she showed Callie the picture, they both cracked out. On August 25, the owner posted Luna’s well-known scowl on a Facebook group called Dogspotting Society. Everyone fortunate enough to witness the image was naturally drawn to it. Over 29K people have liked the post as of right now. The image went viral as soon as Sarah posted it to her Instagram and TikTok accounts, with the latter receiving an amazing 1.3M views.

Then, many others revealed images from their weddings and discussed how their pets made them memorable. On this, I believe we can all concur with Sarah: “Nothing brings me more happiness than dogs! Any dog that wants to photobomb is welcome to in my books!!! ”

According to California event designer Sasha Souza, “An animal fits a certain type of affair, one at a farmhouse or a private estate, perhaps, but probably not at a fancy hotel.” Ask the on-site manager if your dog will be permitted as not all locations allow pets. The best option is frequently an outside location where the dogs can run around and play without harming the dinnerware.

The goal of Sarah’s photography is “to tell [the couple’s] story honestly and organically. Meaning – rolling with the punches and not only capturing moments artistically but allowing organic moments to just happen.”

“Each couple has a different love story and it’s my biggest priority to document it truthfully so you can feel their personalities when you look at their photos!”

Sarah hopes Callie and Travis have the most wonderful marriage. “A life filled with heartwarming memories and lots of love and happiness! They are the kindest humans and an absolute joy to have worked with! It was such an honor and I can’t wait to see this photo of Luna blown up on their wall!!! ”
