The recovery of a dog that had been missing for several months was one of the nicest birthdays presents ever for a guy in Pittsburgh.

According to KDKA, Zeus ran away after jumping out of a car and being lost for three months.

According to Pittsburgh Public Safety, early this summer, Zeus, its owner, and his children were traveling across Pittsburgh’s Homestead Bridge when one of the kids reportedly opened a window, causing Zeus to jump out and flee.

“We got a call for a dog found and when we arrived and scanned the dog, which had a microchip, we were able to contact the owners,” said Animal Control Officer Jeff Ley. “We returned the dog and found out today is the owner’s birthday!”

Zeus was reportedly scanned, examined, and safely delivered back to his owner, Mr. Boyd, according to KDKA.
