This dog story is not told in so many words, because we think pictures are worth a thousand words. Our story begins now.
These dog owners saw their pet panicking and frantically running around the boat out back in the yard, so they went to investigate. The dog was trying to get under the boat, so something was clearly under there. That’s when they discovered what all the fuss was about.
The dog was barking and whimpering and running around the upside-down boat. They had no idea why. She was trying to take a closer look at something.
What was driving her so crazy? Kittens!
The dog took to them right away acting very motherly.
So cute! ?

This motherly dog stayed with the little kitties, and seemingly checking to see if they had any injuries.
The dog stood watch over the kittens, keeping them company and making sure that they won’t wander off and get injured or get into some kind of trouble.
They left the kittens there and supervised to see if their mother would show up, but a mother never came. With really cold temperatures just around the corner, they took the kitties inside.
They were saved.
The family took the kittens to the vet and made sure to follow all guidelines to caring for them properly.

As our dog story goes, we think it’s sad these kittens were abandoned and left to fend for themselves, but these people did all the right things to keep them alive and healthy!
