The nonprofit organization is looking for patient owners who can assist Jack Russell Terrier Sandy and Shih Tzu Penny gain confidence in their new homes.
Following their rescue, the RSPCA is attempting to place a blind dog and another dog that serves as her guide dog and never leaves her side.
Shih Tzu Penny, 7, and Jack Russell Terrier Sandy, 10, were rescued by the RSPCA branch in Saint Columb, Cornwall, and were in bad shape.
Since being adopted by the animal charity, Sandy and Penny have flourished, and the organization is now looking for them patient owners who can help them gain confidence and gradually expose them to new experiences.
Penny is such a love and is more self-assured than her friend, even though she has limited vision, according to Sammy Howard of the RSPCA of Cornwall. She has a genuine enthusiasm for life and doesn’t let this hold her back.
“Sandy is her favorite pet and almost a guide dog for Penny, helping her navigate about. Penny is always on her friend’s side.
“Sandy was terribly nervous when they first arrived with us and wouldn’t allow anyone to touch her. She progressively began to trust us after approximately a week, and she has since really begun to come out of her shell. Because Penny is so gregarious, she boosts Sandy’s self-confidence.
The couple would do best in a calm, empty household without any other pets or with mature, well-behaved kids.
“These sweet canines are incredibly affectionate and will give you all the love and kisses you could possibly want,” Sammy continued. We only need to find them the proper home because they’ll make such amazing pets and companions.
