A husky that got locked behind the Hollywood sign when its owner and they were hiking near a Hollywood Hills trail on Thursday was eventually reunited with its relieved owner.
The 45-pound husky reportedly fell from the steep trailside while walking on the Wonder View Trail with its owner and another dog. The following news article on the brave rescue was posted to Facebook by ABC7.
Amazingly, a group of 45 Los Angeles firefighters reported to the scene to help the woman rescue the dog. People are so happy this dog was rescued and reunited with his owner, and @Evelyn Leigh Ellis comments, “Firefighters do whatever it takes! Thanks guys!” @Paulette Gardiner responds, “Glad he was rescued. I heard that huskies like to escape and run away.” Funny this comment was made, because KTLA.com reports that at one point, a good Samaritan hiker entered the dense brush area and attempted to grab the dog, but the husky ran away. Husky owner @Dean Cannon says, “That husky was never stuck. He was just out for a stroll. I live in Lake Arrowhead and my Husky can scale steep terrain like a mountain goat.” LOL, mountain goat! @Kathleen Gibbons adds, “Glad they helped get the dog out.”
