One day, Koda and her mother were out for a morning stroll when they passed the Fearless Kitty Rescue establishment.

The dog usually explores and sniffs the area, but this time a cooler in the front yard drew her eye.

Koda’s reaction to the cooler was so intense that Mom came over to check what was going on. And a cat stuck its head out and yowled. The poor cat was kept indoors on a scorching day while being zipped up. The woman called a volunteer at the rescue after the cat, who was startled but relieved to be freed.

The cat, now known as Juliane, has been adjusting to life at the rescue since then, but she will soon require surgery to remove a sizable lump from her tail.

The hunt for her devoted forever home will then start. Thanks to Koda the Husky, Juliane, who in Danish tradition means “Fearless,” is still living today!
