After subduing two Pit Bulls who wreaked havoc at the Gasri feast on Saturday, two police
officers won the day.
Many people were stunned as two unrestrained dogs attacked a family and apparently attacked another dog during the festivities. Two cops, on the other hand, wasted no time in stepping up to the bat.
Many others in the region watched their bravery, including Gasri Mayor Daniel Attard, who told Lovin Malta about the occurrence. “The two Pit Bulls ran loose in the same square where a number of people had gathered for the feast,” Daniel stated.
The dogs made a beeline for one particular family who had come to the feast with their Cocker Spaniel, Tucker, during the event.
The dogs allegedly attacked Tucker in front of his owner, according to the video. “Many individuals, particularly small children, were afraid.”
Locals were obliged to act to separate the dogs and prevent anyone – including Tucker – from suffering injury as a result of the attack. However, two police officers who were on the scene at the moment went above and beyond.
“I saw them with my own eyes carrying one of the large Pit Bulls back to the owner,” Daniel added. “Sargeant Edilon and an unidentified police constable, who was armed, were able to control them without discharging their weapon. Something that would have traumatized everyone there.”
“Their actions were brave, heroic, and responsible since their actions went beyond what is
expected from any human in such terrifying circumstances. It is my humble opinion that their
exemplary actions should be publically commended.”
Their ideal mediation prompted the circumstance to be controlled without anyone having
sustainable wounds, aside from Tucker, who escaped the entire difficulty with a couple of minor wounds and is currently headed straight toward recuperation.
