Miniature Schnauzers are a fun-loving companion dog breed that originated in Germany in the late 1800s as an all-purpose farm dog used for ratting and guarding duties on farms and homes alike. The Miniature Schnauzer is one of three breeds of schnauzers; Standard, Giant, and Miniature being the smallest of the three breeds standing at 12 – 14 inches tall at the shoulder when fully grown with a weight range between 11 – 20 pounds depending on gender and age respectively.
Miniature Schnauzers are known for their intelligence making them easy to train with patience and consistency from owners who understand how smart these little dogs can be! They love spending time with their families playing games like fetch or tug of war but also enjoy long walks or hikes out in nature where they can explore new sights & smells along the way! Grooming wise they require regular brushing & trimming of nails as well as brushing teeth for optimal dental health which should be done every few weeks depending on how much shedding they do throughout the year (which isn’t much).
