Brought to the shelter as a morbidly obese stray, Faith the Chiweenie could barely walk or move on her own. The poor girl weighed in at nearly 30 pounds and needed to lose half of that. A friend got ahold of Nioaka and told her, “This dog needs your help.” So she agreed to foster her and came up with a plan!

As much as Faith wanted to run and play with their other dogs, she couldn’t. The dog would have to go through rehab three or four times per week and start a new diet. But she worked at it as hard as her foster parents did, and it all started to pay off!

Slowly, the weight came off. Faith was then able to experience some firsts such as walking up the stairs on her own and fitting through the doggy door! Today, she’s so active and healthy weighing in at just 13 pounds, and you have to see her now. 🙂
