But have you ever considered that some dogs might prefer to go alone? One such instance occurs in Istanbul, Turkey, where a stray dog named Boji commutes daily throughout the city. Boji is an intelligent dog that has recently attracted the attention of the residents because he can use public transportation on his own, including the metro, tram line, and even railroad.
Meet Boji, a stray dog who enjoys taking the subway to explore Istanbul. The dog was recently seen by locals, who began photographing him while he rode the ferry, trains, and even the metro.
The dog is smart that he is familiar with all the regulations of using public transportation and gives way to those getting off the train. He then waits for them and gets on the train after it is empty. When it comes to metro and train terminals, Boji waits outside in pleasant weather and goes inside in chilly or rainy conditions.
The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality decided to affix a tracker to monitor the dog’s travels. It turns out that Boji makes about 29 stops daily and travels 27 to 30 kilometers.
The M4 metro line, a 27-kilometer, 19-station rapid transit line, is one of the dog’s favorite modes of transportation. Despite being a stray, Boji is a Sivas Kangal and shepherd crossbreed and gets his name from railroad jargon.
A recent thorough assessment revealed that the dog had had all necessary medical examinations and had previously been sterilized.
To top it all off, numerous social media accounts were created to track Boji’s whereabouts because travelers like his company as they travel.
