The dog, whose name is Loki, and the soldier, who introduced himself as Micro Junior, have served together for years as devoted friends and would be spending their final National Day together since they would be parting ways shortly.

The soldier is from Sarawak, according to a social media search.
The video was posted on the Panggilan Pertiwi Facebook page on Friday, and he added in a remark, “I will be retiring because my service is coming to an end (Sept 2).
Defense Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein even took notice, thanking both of them for their commitment and wishing them the best in the future.

With its new master, Loki hopefully will continue to succeed, said Hishammuddin.
