Even while we’d all want to believe that every dog in a shelter gets home, some canines are significantly more likely to do so. Senior puppies are among the silliest, friendliest dogs you will ever meet.
Fortunately, a lot of social media influencers and pet owners are using the Internet to show what wonderful companions senior dogs can be. It includes the parents of @zippyandsamoyed! They just shared the most endearing video to their TikTok account, and now Zippy, their 13-year-old tiny poodle, is the most popular dog on the platform. The sweetest rescue story ever is his!

For Zippy and his tiny family, we are extremely happy! We hope this video encourages someone out there to think about bringing an older dog into their pack since every senior pooch deserves to be cherished like this. But if you’re still not persuaded, simply ask commenter @stephaniegivens59.
“We adopted a senior dog a few months ago he is the sweetest dog,” she said. That’s incredible! She must be doing something right because it can take any rescued animal some time to adjust to new surroundings.
Likewise, Zippy’s parents are. We concur with @cyncha when she tweeted, “🥰omg thank you for giving the love he deserves! he is so happy!!” Dreams are made of those animated tiny hops, and we could watch the entire clip again and again.
But in all honesty, we don’t believe we will need to. Even though Zippy is already 13 years old, we do not doubt that he and his parents will continue to collaborate on a ton of movies. We concur with @ittybittygenius’ statement that “My poodle lived to 18! I see a great future for this lil guy.”
