Ty the Pit Bull lives with his dad and a doggie sibling named Dilly in Colorado. Dad Patrick Kalanzi works as a veterinarian at Rock Creek Veterinary Hospital, so he often brings Ty and Dilly to hang out with him at work. Sometimes, he places the pair in a kennel when he’s busy. Recently, Patrick discovered Ty’s special talent at picking locks during one such kennel stay.

Both Ty and Dilly do not understand why they should be stuck in the kennel when they could have so much fun outside. Sure enough, the smart Ty soon figures out a way to escape by working around the pesky kennel locks!
In this video, we see Ty swiveling his tongue around the kennel’s tightly sealed lock. With some strategic twists and turns, Ty unbolts the top lock like butter. He then proceeds to the second lock at the bottom, flicks it, and opens it within mere seconds too!

Patrick is stumped by his “licky” Pit Bull’s pro skills as an escape artist. He’s definitely not mad at Ty because he found the whole act impressive and funny at the same time. Looks like Ty is one smart dog who has enough brains to plan a heist and get away with it!
