A dog that was stolen from a street in Beacon Hill, Boston has been reunited with her owner after she was snatched off a street in broad daylight. The little terrier mix named Rose McNugget was grabbed and placed in a car while her dog walker was picking up another dog. The dog walker said “I literally had the dog outside for less than two minutes.”

The following post was uploaded to Facebook where it explains the little dog was found safe walking alone in Mattapan by a stranger when he contacted her owner, Maura Howley. “This gentleman honestly just seemed like he wanted to help,” Howley said. “He said, ‘I have the dog. I gave her some food. She’s safe.’”

This is every dog owner’s worst nightmare and we can’t even imagine what Howley was going through when Rose was snatched.

Just look at this heartbreaking video that was originally posted right after the crime!

People were so quick to offer sympathy and support to Maura Howley, and @Heidi Omara commented, “As I dog lover I can totally relate to this woman’s pain. This is so heartbreaking. I hope Rose is returned soon and safe..” @Jessica Hannon had responded, “Omg this breaks my heart please bring her dog back. Dogs are family.”

Even though we all know this story has a happy ending, her pain is still so hard to watch. What a sweet dog owner. She said in a news report, ““She’s my family. She’s just absolutely perfect, and I love her.”

Police are still searching for the suspects who took the dog in the first place.
