Maisy enjoys relaxing on the front lawn and soaking up the sun. The 11-year-old golden retriever, however, is not merely there to soak up some sun. She is eager to visit a really special guy, and occasionally she even brings a gift for him.
Maisy chooses the ideal position on the grass in front of her house every morning, that is, until Richard, a neighbor comes over with his walker. The two had developed a special bond that started during Richard’s daily walks.
The Dodo quoted Maisy’s father, Mark Speelman, as saying, “I’ve been recording [their relationship] on and off for months, but I have only recently started videoing.” She cherishes people.
Richard and I have been friends for a very long time, Speelman claimed. When I didn’t see him walking because of the weather, I would frequently phone the retirement home to see how he was doing.
Maisy made her own itinerary in anticipation of meeting Richard after he was able to travel around on his own once more.

Speelman hasn’t captured every encounter between Maisy and Richard, but he was able to capture a few noteworthy ones. Richard is always appreciative when the dedicated dog gives his favorite walker a leaf on some days.
I adore their interactions, Speelman declared. “People enjoy watching Richard and Maisy’s videos so much.”
Whatever the day may hold for Maisy, she finds solace in the knowledge that she will soon be reunited with her close friend. Every time, it will be the best time ever with gifts in the form of leaves.
