This 11-year-old girl has an extremely unusual condition, but she can now walk again because to her enormous service dog.

Morquio Syndrome is a relatively rare genetic condition that affects Bella. Her illness causes her body to create insufficient enzymes, which affects her bones, spine, and organs and causes movement issues that forced her to depend on crutches and a wheelchair.

Bella continued to volunteer for the nonprofit Service Dog Project despite her health issues. She had the heart to serve others even though she didn’t want to spend the rest of her life in a wheelchair.

Bella climbed up to chat with George, a large Saint Bernard, one day while volunteering. She took the large dog’s head on her lap, and the two became fast friends. It seems as though their union was always meant to be.

George became Bella’s service dog because they needed each other. Bella was able to walk again with George’s assistance while holding onto his harness, and she was even able to up the stairs. Now that George has been such a helpful guy, he is receiving his Dog’s Best Day prize.

A trip to Fenway Park and a burger extravaganza from Wahlburger’s Fenway mark the beginning of George’s Dog’s Best Day. Even though George’s burger treat is a rare opportunity for him to eat human food, he still finds the buns to be unappealing.

The next activity is a private snow sledding expedition for Bella and George. George has huge zoomies and he adores the snow. After having a great time together, the two of them move on to create more Dog’s Best Day memories.

Returning to Boston will bring more scrumptious delights. At the Polkadog Bakery, which is stocked with delicious treats, George gets to go on a treat shopping spree. There are sweets everywhere George turns. According to Bella, “it’s like a candy store for dogs.”

It’s time to return to the hotel after all those sweets, but surprise! Their room is now stuffed with dog toys specifically for George. He even receives some brand-new dog gear, and in their honor, $1,000 was donated to the Service Dog Project.

George is exhausted after such a busy day, but he needn’t worry because he even got a new enormous bed so he won’t have to squeeze into Bella’s.

Bella and George are incredibly unique and fortunate to have met each other. We trust that you liked their motivational story.
