Many people have seen the moment a dog owner discovered her pet had a strange red patch on his fur. The owner automatically assumed the worst, but it turned out to be anything but sinister.

There have been almost 1,000 comments on the video, and it appears that this owner is not the only one to have made a mistake of this nature.
One user wrote: “Thought my dog had a lump that might be cancer, turned out she’d sat on a Werthers original and it was stuck under her fur. Still tasted OK.”
