A Labrador that had been taken to a nearby Christmas light display was “mesmerized” by it.
Milo the dog’s owners, Kayla and Ben, released video of Milo’s reaction to the festive display at the Jones Beach Light Show on TikTok.
The pet’s awestruck response to the shimmering lights is captured in the video, which has received close to 2 million views so far.
The video was a fantastic example for those who were watching online of how the holidays are a time for both our family and our animal pals. Many animal lovers find solace and satisfaction in seeing evidence of their dogs enjoying the holiday season.

The owners of Milo have more than lived up to their promise in that regard by taking him for a ride to see the Long Island Christmas lights.
According to Kayla, the vacation has evolved into a sort of family ritual. “We took him there as a young puppy last year, and he liked it, ” she said. “He has always loved car rides. Figured why not do it again this year and his reaction was priceless!”
He may only be just over a year old, but Milo already has a keen appreciation for Christmas. “He always looks at Christmas lights when we go on walks,” Kayla said. “He sometimes thinks the Christmas ornaments are his toys.”
Kayla said they posted the video on social media because it perfectly portrays the “spirit of Christmas” for so many families. The young puppy is described as “cuddly, sociable, and affectionate” and enjoys hikes, fetch, and tug-of-war games.
That opinion was apparently held by many viewers on TikTok, as viewers flocked to the comments section of the video to express their enthusiasm for the film.
Milo’s response was deemed “too precious” by Ladyandtheblues, and princessmichele30 was moved to write, “I’m going to do this thank you.”
Princesskmmo was also left “sobbing” at the Labrador’s charming response, leaving Jessica Hickey to wonder “Why am I crying?” Moocantsleep, who posted: “My dog loves christmas lights!! We used to drive her about at night in different neighborhoods to look at Christmas decorations and lights,” said that the video brought back a lot of wonderful memories for him.
Given the wholesome nature of the film, Kayla is not entirely surprised by the response to the video. She remarked, “He looks so adorable and is so mesmerized. He really loved every second of it, and it shows”.
