The devastation in Turkey and Syria after the earthquakes have resulted in a horrifically staggering loss of life, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the death toll in Turkey from last week’s earthquake increased to 35,418; Syrian officials have said at least 5,800 have died there.

Amongst all this pain and suffering stories of resilience and heroism are the only bright spots in this horrible tragedy. Brave rescue workers are still recovering both humans and animals amongst the rubble, as this video shows of rescue workers who saved a dog named Pamuk who spent over 90 hours trapped under rocks and debris.

It’s such a miracle they were able to save this dog. @AsianMichael comments, “Bless your souls.” @Paclaicidan3000 adds, “That dog is a warrior! I’m glad it survived, people should’ve been this lucky, no one deserves this! Prayers go out to Turkey.”

We are all so grateful to the brave people working tirelessly to save both human and animal alike.

Here’s how to help the organizations that are aiding the rescue and recovery efforts in Turkey and Syria
