At the Guide Dog Foundation, a pup named Benny was born. The puppy is destined for glory in a significant position, possibly serving as a service dog for a veteran or a guide dog for the blind or visually handicapped. The trainers would determine which puppy would be most appropriate for, but first, it required an initiation photo!

The Guide Dog Foundation now photographs all of the puppies delivered at the facility as part of the annual photo session. Little Benny’s photo shoot had them all giddy with anticipation, but it coincided with nap time.

Even though the pup tried his hardest to hold on, the nap fairies were too powerful, and the dog quickly slumped down. According to Rebecca Eden, the online marketing coordinator of the Guide Dog Foundation, “Benny appeared sleepier than ever throughout the shot, and we could see him going to doze off so we hurriedly began recording just in time to watch him gently tip over.”

You can hear one staff member saying “Goodnight” as he drifts off while the other members of our nursery staff and photographer were all laughing.

Benny’s tiredness actually made everything 50 times better, and the photographer still managed to get some adorable pictures to herald his entrance into the program. Benny has been trained successfully for seven months. He will one day significantly impact someone’s life, but for the time being, he is free to take as many naps as he wants.

Over 11.2 million people have watched the video since it was posted on June 30 by the Twitter account We Rate Dogs.

Even though it might seem like a lot for a pup to manage, keep in mind that they are training for a job that will last for years. A task that calls for them to exhibit patience, resist distractions and give their owner the finest care possible while also obeying all of their commands.
