Paws Friend Network (on TikTok @pawsfriendnetwork) finds temporary and permanent homes for paraplegic, amputee, wheelchair bound, and senior dogs. Their seasonal pick-me-up is to place their furry residents in foster care so that they experience family time outside of the shelter.

This year, they posted a touching video clip of a mutt called “Old Man,” seen eating a carrot in the car on his way to his holiday dwelling. While he had no interest in activities or people at the shelter, his mood lifted on the excursion. He was adopted, along with another  — Matilda — from Paws Friend Network. So he’s now got a sister to boot!

“His sweet eyes watching those Christmas lights, my heart just melted!” Said @Nurselauren28.   “He looks like he’s such a good boy. So happy he has a real home now.” Wrote @lucy.blue.

@danaisabellaaaa commented.“Truly for people who are unable to adopt, fostering is incredible. And more helpful than people know!” Sometimes, it leads to permanent placement or connection to friends of the foster family, who can then adopt.
