A couple of months ago, when a woman spotted a couple of sibling mutts huddled on a curb at a busy intersection in Palmdale, California, she called MaeDay Rescue, a local organization that saves strays.

You can see here in the Instagram video, how it went down. “Both pups were submissive, so they laid down, which made it easy to pick them up,” a representative from the rescue squad said.. “You could tell they were scared and knew they’d be safe in the car.”

The female named Kona (with the brown nose) and the male Oscar (initially called “Murray” by the shelter) quickly found good homes, as evident in the following posts.

“Kona was a bit calmer and gave tiny kisses.” The rescue representative said. “While [Oscar] was a goofy, active boy who loved to get into anything he could. Both are very sweet and smart! ”

Kona was the first to discover her ideal fit.

Then came Oscar’s turn.

“[Oscar] loves his new family [and] is obsessed with his big brother!” The shelter rep said. “This is truly the perfect home for him [and] we are honored that we got to be part of his journey to a happy ending!”
